12/15/21 Recommendation:

12/15/21 Recommendation:

If you find an edition of, THE NEW MARKED REFERENCE BIBLE, (in good condition, whether paper, cloth, leather or hard cover), at a good price, get it. It is an excellent chain reference Bible that is color coded for easy use. I have included photos to show what it looks like. New ones are super expensive (though they are worth the cost at some point).
The compiler was J. Gilchrist Lawson.
He also produced, THE CHRISTIAN WORKERS NEW TESTAMENT, which I carried and used for many years in my witnessing. I even handed them out as a witnessing tool.

One of the advantages of this study Bible is the absence of notes and commentary.

He addresses 4 main themes, each marked by a specific color throughout the Bible:
Salvation, 18 sub-topics with multiple references.
The Holy Spirit, 18 sub-topics with multiple verses.
Temporal Blessing
, 16 sub-topics with multiple verses.
Prophetic subjects, 19 sub-topics with multiple verses.

This is not intended to be a theological compendium. But it is a help to faith and understanding.

Reading and studying these references can provide solid view of basic Christian issues.
Plus, as you can see in the full page photo, it has center column cross references.
