12/13/21 GOD DOES NOT DESTROY OUR HUMAN NATURE

12/13/21 GOD DOES NOT DESTROY OUR HUMAN NATURE

While talking with someone I recently met, I mentioned the Biblical fact that the Human Nature and the Sinful Nature are not the same. The man (a long time professing Christian and Sunday School Teacher in a Bible believing denominational church) looked at me like I had three eyes, He had never heard of such a thing.

How sad that Christians have been led to believe that the Human Nature and the Sinful Nature are the same.

God created man, God created human nature. Human nature is the nature to be human. The human nature is body, soul and spirit.

Through Adam's sin, the human nature was corrupted and separated from God. But Adam's sin also communicated an evil disposition, inclination, propensity, nature to sin. This is called the sinful nature (aka Old Man, The Flesh, The Double Mind, Carnal Mindedness, Evil Heart of Unbelief, The Root of Bitterness) and it is the very nature that God does want remove from us.

God created Adam and Eve with human nature, therefore human nature was not sinful.
Jesus was born with human nature and He always pleased the Father.
In fact, when Jesus ascended to heaven, He did so in His human nature His human nature is in heaven now.
Jesus came to save us (our human nature) from the power and consequences of sins, and to deliver us from our sinful nature.

The redeemed human nature goes to heaven. The sinful nature is unredeemable. There will be no carnal nature, SINFUL NATURE in heaven. Actually, the sinful nature is the enemy of God and also the enemy of the human nature. The SINFUL NATURE is not subject to the law of God and neither can it be. On the other hand, the Human Nature can submit to the law of God. The Christian can only love God with his whole heart when he has been delivered from the corruption of the sinful nature.

So, no, God does not destroy, but He does redeem the HUMAN NATURE, He does save the HUMAN NATURE, that is, He saves believers, body, soul and spirit.
However, God does not redeem or save the SINFUL NATURE (sinful attitude, propensity, inclination). God removes, destroys, purges out, crucifies to death the sinful nature of a believer so that a believer can be pure, even as Christ is pure.
