12/13/21 BUT DO YOU BELIEVE JESUS SAVES US FROM SIN?

12/13/21 BUT DO YOU BELIEVE JESUS SAVES US FROM SIN?

IT'S AGREED
"Jesus conquered death and the grave" (properly understood), is a basic fact, on which born again believers agree, because it is Biblically clear.
Christians also agree that Jesus saves from guilt and judgment (properly understood), because the Bible clearly says so.

IT SHOULD BE AGREED
But very few people who have been saved accept God's revelation in the Bible (when it is properly understood), which clearly says Jesus conquered and delivers from sin, sinning, Satan, lawlessness.
Some of those people deny the intent and extent of God's salvation because they either trust the errant teaching of men or because they personally have sins, from which they are not willing to turn.

THERE SHOULD BE NO DISAGREEMENT
The power, purpose and provision of God to destroy sin and deliver Christians from the penalty, power and pollution of sin, and sinning is clearly and continuously stated in the Bible, but sinning religion hides behind verses taken out of context.
Yes, we have all sinned.
Yes, even Christians can return to their sins after conversion.
Yes, we can deny Him, even after being saved.

BUT THAT DOES NOT CHANGE SCRIPTURE, which clearly says Jesus not only saves His people from guilt, condemnation and death, but Jesus also saves His people from their sins committed and from their inner drive to sin.
So...
Yes, God is able to keep us from falling.
Yes, we are saved by faith, we live by faith, we walk by faith.
Yes, God is able to keep us spotless and without blame.
Yes, God purifies us (in this present life), even as Christ is pure.
Yes, God calls us to be holy, pure, righteous, obedient, faithful, AND,
Yes, He enables us to live the life He calls us to live.
Yes, His blood, His word, His Holy Spirit cleanses us from ALL sin.
Yes, He delivers us from evil (the evil one).
Yes, He provides a way of escape from every temptation.
Yes, He leads us not into temptation.
Yes, He leads us in triumph.
Yes, He makes us more than conquerors.
Yes, His children live in righteousness.
Yes, His children do not sin.
Yes, His children are (made) righteous (not simply seen as righteous).
Yes, His children keep His commands.
Yes, His children do that which is pleasing in His sight.

WITHOUT BIBLICAL CONTRADICTION
All of these characteristics are Biblical, without any Biblical contradiction. Any contradiction to God's plan and provision for salvation from all sin in this life is a misrepresentation of Scripture, based on a few verses out of context.

Deliverance from sin is not the accomplishment of human endeavor, it is the work of God, by grace, through faith. There is no deliverance from sin, without faith, without grace, without God. There is no salvation without deliverance from sin, all sin, in this present life.

God says, without contradiction...
1 John 2:1-6
(1) My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
(2) And he is the propitiation (the sacrifice, the satisfaction, the appeasement) for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
(3) And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
(4) He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
(5) But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
(6) He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
