07/31/21 DON'T BE A SPIRITUAL ORPHAN
I've known spiritual orphans for decades.
Christians without a local body of believers.
Christians committed to nominal churches.
Christians living the single, uncommitted spiritual lifestyle.
Christians playing the spiritual field.
Resistance and rejection concerning submission and commitment to a local body is spiritual suicide, planned failure.
It may seem cool, avant garde, and it may appear to be fun, and adventurous, but it is a trap of Satan.
God's plan was, and is, commitment to a local body, for fellowship teaching, training, correction, reproof, service.
Commitment to a local body is costly, self sacrificing, self denying.
It is more than going to services or being cordial with other believers.
It is seen in this old saying,
What kind of church would my church be,
If all of the members were just like me?
