07/08/21 TWO SIMPLE DIRECTIVES TO BELIEVERS

Peter tells us to FOLLOW IN THE STEPS OF JESUS (sin not).
1 Peter 2:21
21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

Peter tells us NOT TO FOLLOW FALSE TEACHERS and their destructive ways.
2 Peter 2:1-2
1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

John tells us NOT TO FOLLOW EVIL, BUT TO FOLLOW THAT WHICH IS GOOD.
3 John 1:11
11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.
