07/22/21 TWO EXCEEDINGLY SAD STATES
THOSE who never know they need God and righteousness and
THOSE who never hunger and thirst for God and righteousness.
But for those who do hunger and thirst, there is provision.
Matthew 5:6
6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Psalms 42:1-2
1 ... As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.
2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
Psalms 63:1-4
1 A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, thou
art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh
longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
2 To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
3 Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
4 Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
Psalms 107:8-9
8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
9 For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.
(WOW, this throws light on God's outpouring upon His children.)
Isaiah 44:3
3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the
dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon
thine offspring:
God gives us everything we need for life and godliness, such as Divine power, spiritual knowledge, exceeding great and precious promises, Divine nature and deliverance from worldly lust.
2 Peter 1:3-4
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that
pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath
called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that
by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the
corruption that is in the world through lust.
