07/07/21 YOUR MISSION, IF YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT.

07/07/21 YOUR MISSION, IF YOU CHOOSE TO ACCEPT IT.

Let me tell you a little bit about the mission I have been assigned.

God wanted to send a new Search and Rescue Team into the Crystal Coast area of North Carolina, to set up a Life Saving Station, which would train and send Rescuers into the troubled and dangerous sea of life, to reach those who are shipwrecked, overboard, abandoned, sinking in sin.

I have been doing that, as best I can. I have sought out the place that God wants us to work. I have been shining the light to neighbors, near and far, through internet outreach.

For a while I worked in and around Beaufort and sharing with folks on Harkers Island . But God has directed my work to be centered in the Down East communities, where I am presently preaching and teaching in my home (Williston), in the homes of fellow Life Saving Team Members, and on the internet with locals and friends in Morehead, Newport, Atlantic, Smyrna, Raleigh and in Virginia.

The storms of life have taken their toll in the local population, through crashing waves of sin and howling winds of false doctrine. God has done some wonderful things over the years, through very dedicated pastors and parishioners. But the storm still rages and the need is as great today as ever, even greater.

In order for a mission to succeed in an area, the Team must share the same vision as the Team Leader. There must be an overwhelming expectation for success. There must be an incendiary excitement and a bulldogged determination to fulfill the mission.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it is basically...
(excerpted from the Matthew Mission Plan)
Matthew 16:24-26
24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Matthew 5:16
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Matthew 5:48
48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Matthew 6:19-21
19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Matthew 6:33
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Matthew 7:12-14
12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Matthew 7:24-27
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Matthew 28:19-20
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
