06/20/21 THERE IS A REASON FOR THESE THINGS

Did you ever notice that the Bible never indicates we should be born of a virgin, live without sin from the time of our birth, fulfill Old Testament prophecy, die a sacrificial death on the a cross, raise ourselves from the dead, ascend into heaven and sit at the right hand of God the Father Almighty? That is because we can't and the idea is absurd.

Have you noticed that the Bible tells us we must be born of the Spirit, we must believe on Christ, we must confess our sins, we must repent of our sins, we must confess our faith in Christ, we must follow Christ, we must surrender all, we must be filled and purified by the Holy Spirit, we must be conformed to His image, we must not deny Him, we must cleave unto the Lord, we must continue in the grace of God, we must continue in faith, we must walk in the Light, we must walk in the Spirit, we must walk in truth? That is because God unilaterally decreed that these things must be done for a person to become a child of God and to enter heaven.

If we couldn't do it, God would not command it. If God would do it for us, we would not be directed to do these things or held accountable for these things.
