06/20/21 SADLY, SOME FOLKS ONLY HAVE RELIGION, NOT RELATIONSHIP

I wrote the following article about religion several years ago. In the context of this definition, it is possible to have "Christian" religion without having salvation. However, if you have salvation you have Biblical, pure, undefiled religion.

James 1:27
27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

When people have Christian religion, without salvation (without a right relationship with God), they have a form of godliness, but they do not have the power of God in their lives. They lack the power of love, truth, faith, holiness, godliness. Again, they have a form, but they lack the power of the presence of God. These are people who will be sent from God's eternal presence with the judgement, "Depart from me, you workers of iniquity, I never knew you."

07/24/16 GOT RELIGION? YES!
Everyone has a religion, even Christians have a religion. Religion can be good or bad, true or false.

Do not be afraid of the word, "religion." It simply means, "A system of beliefs in a (S)supreme (B)being, and the form of worship and service rendered to that (B)being."

EVERY RELIGION, OTHER THAN CHRISTIANITY, IS IDOLATRY
Idolatry is the worship and service of idols, whether sentient beings or philosophies or inanimate objects.

VARIOUS FORMS OF IDOLATRY
(which we encounter today).
*** Naturalism** is trusting, worshiping and serving NATURE.
*** Humanism** is trusting, worshiping and serving MAN
*** Paganism** and Heathenism is trusting, worshiping and serving NATURE and the GODS OF NATURE.
*** Hedonism** is trusting, worshiping and serving PLEASURE and SELF INDULGENCE.
*** Materialism** is trusting, worshiping and serving WEALTH or GREED.
*** Statism** is trusting, worshiping and serving THE STATE.
*** Satanism** and Spiritism is trusting, worshiping and serving THE DEVIL and EVIL SPIRITS.
*** Spiritualism** is trusting, worshiping and serving supposed DISEMBODIED HUMAN SPIRITS.
There Are Other Forms Also

Christianity is also a religion, but it is the religion of truth.
There are people who claim to be Christians or they claim to follow Christianity, but they are still in their sins and separated from God. This is because they have accepted Christianity in their heads and as a moral principle, but they have not believed in their hearts that Jesus is Lord and that He is raised from the dead, and they are not in a living and loving relationship with God, through Christ.

Those who have believed, repented, confessed and are now following Jesus have salvation, which is a right relationship with God. Our right relationship with God is not based on our good works, but a right relationship with God is shown in our good works, in our love for God and others.

My religion is Christianity.
Christianity is the only religion that points to salvation.
All other religions are human endeavors to reject the true and living God.

My salvation is a right relationship with God, through faith in Christ.
