06/10/21 LET'S CLEAR THE AIR

06/10/21 LET'S CLEAR THE AIR

To say that God has NOT provided salvation for everyone is not only inaccurate, it is contradictory to the Bible. The Bible says that He has actually saved everyone from the curse of Adam's sin, even before their birth. Thus He is the Savior of ALL men (everyone).

1 Timothy 4:9-11
9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation.
10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe.
11 These things command and teach.

This does not mean that everyone goes to heaven. Remember, we are covered by the atonement from conception until God holds us personally accountable for our sins, at which time we are called to repentance and faith and we either believe, confess, repent and follow Christ or we continue in our disbelief and rebellion. The wages of sin is death. Though the mercy and grace of God saved everyone before they were born, He judges everyone for their personal sins, which they commit, some time after their early childhood. Those who do not turn from their sins and trust Christ for forgiveness and newness of life are lost.

Consider these few passages. (I have put key words in parenthesis and CAPS). There are many other verses as well.

John 3:16-21
16 For (GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD), that he gave his only begotten Son, that (WHOSOEVER) believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world (TO CONDEMN THE WORLD; BUT THAT THE WORLD THROUGH HIM MIGHT BE SAVED).
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 (AND THIS IS THE CONDEMNATION, THAT LIGHT IS COME INTO THE WORLD, AND MEN LOVED DARKNESS RATHER THAN LIGHT, BECAUSE THEIR DEEDS WERE EVIL).
20 For (EVERY ONE THAT DOETH EVIL HATETH THE LIGHT, NEITHER COMETH TO THE LIGHT, LEST HIS DEEDS SHOULD BE REPROVED).
21 But (HE THAT DOETH TRUTH COMETH TO THE LIGHT, THAT HIS DEEDS MAY BE MADE MANIFEST, THAT THEY ARE WROUGHT IN GOD).

1 Timothy 2:3-4
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of (GOD OUR SAVIOUR;
4 WHO WILL HAVE ALL MEN TO BE SAVED, AND TO COME TO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH).

1 Timothy 2:6
6 (WHO GAVE HIMSELF A RANSOM FOR ALL, TO BE TESTIFIED IN DUE TIME).

2 Peter 3:9
9 (THE LORD) is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, (NOT WILLING THAT ANY SHOULD PERISH, BUT THAT ALL SHOULD COME TO REPENTANCE).

1 John 2:1-2
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And (IF ANY MAN SIN, WE HAVE AND ADVOCATE WITH THE FATHER, JESUS CHRIST THE RIGHTEOUS:
2 AND HE IS THE PROPITIATION FOR OUR SINS: AND NOT FOR OURS ONLY BUT FOR THE SINS OF THE WHOLE WORLD).

We were saved by God's grace before we were born.
We are kept by God's grace after we are born.
We sin willfully at some point in time and become answerable to God.
We are called to repentance.
If we believe, confess, repent and follow, we will be saved.
If we do not walk in the light God gives us we will be lost.
