NEW TESTAMENT TRUTH YOU SHOULD SAY OUT LOUD
(but expect some Christians to tell you that it does not mean what it says).
Matthew 5:10-12
10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and
shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven:
for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Persecution comes in degrees.
Persecution comes because we choose to live righteously, which is in conflict with this world.
Persecution is fueled by false accusations.
True followers of Christ will be persecuted and they will rejoice in their suffering, rather than complain.
Go ahead, say it out loud.
I am blessed when men revile, persecute, and falsely accuse me, because of Jesus. I will rejoice, and be exceeding glad:
