NEW TESTAMENT TRUTH YOU SHOULD SAY OUT LOUD
(but expect some Christians to tell you that it does not mean what it says).

Matthew 7:13-14
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Jesus directed us to ENTER at the narrow gate rather than the wide gate.

The wide gate and the broad way leads to destruction.
Many people choose the wide gate and broad way.
HOWEVER,
The strait (narrow) gate and the narrow (hard, difficult) way leads to life.
Few people choose narrow and the hard way.

Don't confuse the narrow, difficult way with misery.
It is the way of life, both now and eternally.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life.
The narrow and difficult way is the way of light.
The narrow and difficult way is the way of love.
The narrow and difficult way is the way of joy, faith.
The narrow and difficult way is the way of the Holy Spirit.

Go ahead, say it out loud.
GOD TELLS ME TO CHOOSE THE NARROW AND HARD WAY, FOR IT IS LIFE.
