It's Biblical to "proof text" unless text is out of context, then it's a pretext. "Stand alone" isn't "stand apart.
I find it interesting, when in discussion with folks who buy into sinning religion, that they don't accept the hundreds of verses, which l cite (in context) as proof, yet they take a few misapplied verses (out of context) and declare them to be "stand alone" verses, supposedly proving the false doctrines of Calvinism.
