03/04/21 DON'T BLAME GOD
The Bible is the Divinely inspired word of God and through it we are Divinely enlightened, not simply intellectually instructed. We must read and receive God's word by faith, not simply by mental assent. Faith mixed with Divine truth leads to life and victory. If you follow Biblical directives, without faith, you will not receive what God has for you. We walk by faith and live by faith. Our relationship with God is through. Faith is not simply believism, but it is total and unquestioning trust in God and His word.
If you are not experiencing victory over sin, it is because you are not living by faith; it is because you are not trusting God or His word. Failure to live according to the will of God is not God's fault; it is not because of an unavoidable flaw within us. Failure to live according to the will of God is a deliberate choice to not trust God.
God does not promise us a life of ease. God may bless us with advantages but health and wealth are not inevitable in this life. However, victory over sin is provided for the here and now. Don't blame God or His word for your failure to thrive spiritually, or to live victoriously, triumphantly, blamelessly, righteously, uprightly. This has nothing to do with legalism, but it does nullify lawlessness. Holiness of heart and life is God's standard and is God's gift to us through Christ.
