03/10/21 MY MINISTRY GOALS, THROUGH THREE LENSES

03/10/21 MY MINISTRY GOALS, THROUGH THREE LENSES

I may outlive everyone around me, but let's face it,
"I AIN'T GETTING NO YOUNGER."
(and neither are y'all)

Because of this, here are THREE MINISTRY GOALS I have set (and hope others see it with me):

1- Enable believers Biblically and spiritually to live victoriously in days ahead.

2- Establish ministry beachhead for preaching, teaching, fellowship, worship (in the Biblical tradition rather than the modern model). Believers must pursue the Biblical model of Spirit gifted, enabled, mutuality.

3- Enlist and Equip torchbearers. The need for God called, Bible trained, Spirit filled workers in the local body of believers is going to be more demanding than ever before. This will include pastor/teacher, elders, deacons, dedicated lay workers. The Biblical standard is unity through a local body. People cannot be lone wolf Christians.

A. Christ is the hub of Christian life and ministry.

B. Individual believers and families are the spokes who are radiating out out from Christ, working in concert with one other, connected to one another within the circle (rim) of the local body.

C. The local church is the rim that connects the believers and their ministries. Though the family should be the "organic church in microcosm," it is not the church or the replacement of the church and it must be seen as an active and vital part of the mystic body of Christ on the local level.
