09/09/21 So, what is your testimony?

09/09/21 So, what is your testimony?

Spiritually speaking, Bible believers do not want their children to be self promoting, self satisfied, self reliant, but we want our children to realize their need, their dependence and their sufficiency in Christ.

Likewise, God does not want His children to be unaware of their frailty, weakness, need for salvation and grace. No child of God stands alone. In fact, if a Christians becomes overconfident, he should examine himself to be sure he does not fall.

On the other hand, the children of God should be quick to honor the Father by giving Him recognition and honor for His cleansing, empowering, instruction, correction, leading, provision, protection (including protection from spiritual attack and failure).

God should be praised for His work of salvation that saves us from all sin. If a person has a need to repent, then they should repent. If a person has a spiritual conflict, then they should confess their need and call on Jesus.

God is not glorified in our sin and He is not glorified in our failure to trust and call on Him to deliver us from all temptation.

The devil gets the glory whey we focus on and give in to temptation. The devil gets the glory when we turn our eyes and our prayers away from God and His great grace and His power that saves from the gutter most to the uttermost.

I don't have to tell people that I am human and that I am unable to conquer Satan on my own, because anyone with any Bible knowledge knows that.

But I do need to tell the good news, that Jesus saves from all sin and that He can and will and does keep me from falling. Jesus saves us from the world (system), the flesh (self orientation) and the devil (Satan). Jesus not only saves us from the Penalty of sin, but the Power of sin and the Pollution of sin. Jesus not only saves us from our own sinful lives but from the sin nature that Adam passed on to all of his fallen offspring. Jesus saves us from this present evil age.

Of course, if you are not walking in His light, covered by His blood, following His leading, filled with His Spirit, loving Him and therefore obeying Him, then it is no wonder that you cannot give praise and thanksgiving for His deliverance from sin and His power to keep you from all temptation.
