09/01/21 IF THERE IS SUCH A BIBLICAL REALITY... AND THERE IS

IF THERE IS SUCH A BIBLICAL REALITY FOR CHRISTIANS AS:
HAVING A PURE HEART in this present evil world (and it is), it is only possible through the loving, gracious, sacrificial, atoning, salvific work of God through Christ and the infilling of the Holy Spirit.

BEING CLEANSED FROM ALL SIN THROUGH GRACE AND FAITH (and it is), it comes through God's word, the blood of Christ and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

BEING PURE EVEN AS CHRIST IS PURE (and it is), it requires the Christian to submit fully to God, to believe God only for His purification, ask for and confess the need and desire for the fullness of the Holy Spirit, resist and reject all known sin, walk in the God's enlightenment, follow Jesus fully, build yourself up in the holy faith, keep yourself in the love of God. All of this is possible because of the great grace that God bestows on us.

BEING INSTANTLY MADE PURE IN HEART BY GOD IN THIS WORLD (and it is), it MUST BE INSTANTANEOUS; it CANNOT BE gradual or progressive. There is gradual or progressive sanctification, growth in grace, which comes with Justification and also comes with Entire Sanctification, but Entire Sanctification of the believer is instantaneous and complete. You can only grow in the grace that you have entered into by faith.

You can never work or walk your way into heart purity, but willful disobedience to God will separate you from God's cleansing power. As it has been said, "Entire Sanctification is something that you approach gradually, enter into suddenly and grow in forever."
