01/09/21 TIME TO BE WISE, NOT FOOLISH

ALERT ALERT ALERT, serious and urgent. This is not a joke. This is my pastoral counsel. I expect TNH folks to read.

Parents, close your windows, doors, social keyboards. The lion prowls. Being wise isn't unwarranted fear.

1 Peter 5:8
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
We should not fear the enemy, we should not yield to the enemy, but when we know the lion is on the prowl, we should not offer our children as sacrifices. Being faithful to Christ is not a matter of bravado and careless behavior. This is a different village than we lived in last week and we need to be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.

I have been considering (for sometime) changing my own presence and ministry to the village. It would be foolhardy to face Goliath without the charge and blessing of God. If we taunt the lion or the giant in our own wisdom and strength, we are not heroes of the faith, but we are like Alonso, on a fools errand.
We do not hide our light, but we do not paint a target on the backs of our children or ourselves.

I have been a faithful witness, using the rivers of the internet to reach other villages. However, my first responsibility is to my own spiritual village. I have warned and encouraged and invited others (and will continue) to come to Christ and to live Biblically. I am praying about a way to reach people along the river without offering myself or others up to Dagon. The reach of the lion and the giant has spread throughout the land. God does not call us to taunt the enemy or tempt God.

Being honest and being brave is not the same as being a fool. Do not call your enemy names, especially at the expense of your children's lives and well being. Their souls are on the line.

I am required to make my life a living sacrifice to God and I am required to offer myself on the altar of His service; I am not required to offer myself up to my enemy and destroyer as a proof that I am courageous and right.

Romans 12:1-2
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

1 Peter 2:5
5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

I have told folks to find a strong, loving, Bible preaching and teaching church. We need to gather together rather than rush into the street and threaten the tank. America has moved from Philadelphia to Laodicea. Now we have moved from the outlying area toward the center of the dark kingdom. The threat is real rather than windmills.

Ephesians 5:14-17
14 Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
15 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
Do not do the work of Satan.
Do the work of God in God's way.
