A PERSONAL UPDATE ON MY SOCIAL MEDIA JOURNEY
I have been on Mewe, as well as FB, recently. For various reasons I favor Mewe, but I am planning to maintain an FB presence for other reasons (at least for a while). One reason is I reach folks on FB that I won't reach on MeWe. There are other reasons also.

However, I still encourage folks to get their photos and other private material off of FB. I don't know how long I will be able to use FB (whether by my choice or the choice of FB), but I do have an option at this point in time.

I did a lot of thinking before I started using MeWe, and I have continued to evaluate the pros and cons of FB. Each person should make his/her own decision, as God leads you.

As I have said before, we don't know how long we will have social media, so we must see social media as a tool that can be discarded.

People are not tools, therefore we must be careful not to abuse or discard them. I have always taught that words matter, that words are the vehicles that carry our thoughts and carry God's message. The way we live and the way we communicate reveals our own relationship with God. People judge us, our church, our pastor and our God by the way we behave. We are not our own, we are bought with a price, therefore we must walk (live, behave) in a manner worthy of our calling.
