01/02/21 IT IS AN OPPORTUNITY, NOT JUST AN OBLIGATION

01/02/21 IT IS AN OPPORTUNITY, NOT JUST AN OBLIGATION

Does God require Absolute, Angelic or Adamic Perfection? NO.

Does God call us and enable us to experience and live Atonement (aka Biblical, Believer's and Christian) Perfection? YES.

Don't be afraid of this perfection. It is the work of God saving us from sin and conforming us to the image of His Son. It is not the making of a monster but it is God's transforming us into the people He wants us to be.

If you think your initial encounter with God was wonderful, wait until you see what He will do with a totally trusting and transformed believer. You will only regret that you did not know about this sooner.

1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

Colossians 1:25-29
25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

(dlg... I hope to post and make comment on all of Colossians chapter one, in a future post).

Here is an article I wrote concerning the plan of God to perfect His people in this present evil world. It is a work of God in us. The article is long but I give the basic principle of salvation perfection and I give verses from Old and New Testament. I also give a word study. Since it is so long, you can just look at the points that most interest you or you could study it all over a period of time. DON'T AVOID IT BECAUSE IT IS LONG. It is good material, and it only has to be as long as you want it to be.
