05/24/21 A BIBLICAL HERITAGE
It is easy to say that God supports "Christian violence," but it is impossible to find it in the New Testament.
(Don't confuse the New Testament teaching of nonviolence with "peace movements" or "pacifism;" they are not the same.)
Constantine's pagan beliefs corrupted the Romanized Christians 1800 years ago, misleading the Roman religion into violence, which was followed by Reformationists and recent Christians.
The New Testament clearly teaches Christian nonviolence and early Christians practiced nonviolence and throughout Christian history, back to the Bible movements around the world, have seen and followed Biblical nonviolence.
Biblical nonviolence is rejected by large numbers of well meaning Christians, without ever listening to the New Testament teaching or reading the New Testament openly and honestly. If you are a Bible believer, at least consider the New Testament arguments for nonviolence. Don't discount the idea based on unsupported teaching you had as a child. Don't follow Constantine, the Roman religion or other misled groups. At least consider, at least listen, at least study the New Testament revelation.
I would be glad to talk with you about the New Testament view of Christian nonviolence. If there was ever a time when Christians needed to come back to the New Testament, it is now.
