05/21/21 ATONEMENT SIMPLY STATED

Jesus died because of our sin,
He died for us,
He died because of Divine love,
He died as the Sin Sacrifice.

Atonement is sacrificial love in action, it is not wrath in action.
Death is the cost of reconciliation and the Sacrificial Death of Jesus satisfies that cost.
The Father gave His Son and the Son gave His life because of Divine love, not because of wrath.
In fact, the Sacrificial Lamb satisfies the justice of God and saves us from the wrath of God.
Reject the loving sacrifice of God and you will encounter the wrath of God.

The Bible says we are "bought with a price."
The price was the sacrificial death of Christ.
This is not the same as saying "Jesus paid the penalty of our sins."
That is a totally different concept, understanding, presentation than the revelation of God's word.

Loving, Sacrificial Atonement (Divine satisfaction of justice through death of the perfect Son of God, and resurrection) is not the same as Penal Atonement (the exacting of a specific payment [no more, no less]) by pouring out the wrath of God on an innocent party (Jesus).

You better trust Christ for His deliverance from sin. You better not presume on Christ for an un-Biblical, corrupted, man made form of salvation.
